Between Veda & Silence
A century-old British-colonial heritage mansion within fifty acres of private forest — a centre for ancient Vedic meditation, yoga, tantra & holistic healing, in the south of Sri Lanka.
Under 50 acres of protected forest in Sri LankaBuilt under the guidance & vision ofMahāmukt Sri Harsh
We do not teach a philosophy. We hold the space where lives are changed through practice — through ancient Vedic meditation, through the honest path of yoga, and through the living traditions of tantra and holistic healing.
Every practice here reaches toward the same point: to dissolve what is false, to still what is restless, and to return you to the ground of who you already are. The forest does half the work. Silence does the rest.
Taravan exists for one reason — to be the place where the seeker arrives, and the seeking ends.
Practice, here, is not performance; acceptance is not passivity. Both unfold under the guidance, light and inspiration of the teachings of Mahāmukt Sri Harsh — a living current that asks only that you return, daily, to the ground of who you already are.
Taravan draws its inspiration from the Vedic and tantric lineages of Sanātana Dharma, the wisdom of the Daśa Mahāvidyā, and the silence of fifty acres of protected jungle — held under the grace of Baglāmukhī, she who stills the tongue of delusion.
Our guru and the vision behind Taravan — Sri Harsh Vardhan Shukla, known to seekers as Mahāmukt. The sanctuary rises in his light.
Revered through the divine name Mahāmukt, Sri Harsh is a deeply consecrated spiritual guide — a lifelong Sadhak of Maa Baglamukhī, one of the ten Mahāvidyās. Through Baglamukhī Sādhana and the depths of Tantra Vidyā, he guides, heals and protects: a living channel of the Divine Mother's shakti.
Mahāmukt — mahā, great and supreme; mukta, the liberated one — names the state of greatest liberation. It is the journey. Sri Harsh walks it, and Taravan rises in its light.
He heals. He protects. He elevates.

Āsana, prāṇāyāma, mantra, & the inner sciences. Daily sādhana, philosophy under the teak ceilings, kriyā at first light on the cliff shala. Forty-five day immersions and shorter retreats — held in residence, lived together.
A classical tantra immersion in the lineage of the Daśa Mahāvidyā — the ten faces of the sacred feminine. Ancient Vedic wisdom, sound, and ritual, held in residence to return the practitioner to inner liberation.
Tap any name — she will speak. The sanctuary itself changes colour.
Before you take a decision or make up your mind — sit here for a few breaths. Stillness will strike clarity for any insight you choose to carry from this place.
Now that you have come here, we wish to share this aspect of stillness with you — to take with us, or to take with you.
The mandala expands as you inhale and falls back as you exhale. Choose a pattern. Match the circle. The drone will hold the room.
Move the sliders. Choose what calls you. The right doorway will reveal itself.

A century-old British-colonial heritage mansion at the heart of fifty private acres — wrapped in cinnamon and black pepper, protected forest with its own wildlife, flora & fauna, and a birdwatcher's paradise. Yours alone, to heal and recover in.
Restored in the spirit of Geoffrey Bawa — the godfather of tropical modernism and Asian minimalism — where open courtyards, teak verandas and shaded colonnades dissolve the wall between architecture and forest, and the building breathes with the land.
An ancient practice. Move your cursor inside the wheel. Each gesture is mirrored — through symmetry, ordinary strokes become sacred geometry.
